Friends of Green Lake Hold Shoreline Work Party Nov. 18

Eight volunteers from Friends of Green Lake had a wet and wild work party Sunday, Nov. 18 to remove milfoil and leaves from the northeast Green Lake shoreline. Volunteers met at the dock by the Boat Rental, near Green Lake Community Center, and raked debris and the unwanted vegetation into piles where it was picked up by Park Department staff. Seattle Parks Maintenance Crew Chief Don Allen was there to help, and Parks and Recreation provided tools, boots, and encouragement for the project.
