Milfoil Survey Done Sunday, September 10

FOGL Volunteers Mapped Milfoil Growth from Boat

Three volunteers using an echo sounder and differential GPS mapped the extent of milfoil in Green Lake using a special boat and equipment provided by Herrera Environmental Consultants, Inc. on Sunday, September 10. On board were Rob Zisette of Herrera (on his own time as a member of FOGL) and FOGL member Richard Fleming, Ph.D. The third volunteer was Samantha Burkett, a Billings Middle School student working on her annual science project. Located in the east Green Lake district, Billings tracks Green Lake ecology as part of their science curriculum.
