IRS Okays Deducting Donations to FOGL

The Friends of Green Lake was approved for 501(c)3 charitable status by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service in December, 2009. This means that the IRS has reviewed FOGL’s files and determined that the Articles of Association, Bylaws, procedures, and activities comply with federal requirements for an non-profit charity whose purposes are protection of the environment and education of the public. The action is retroactive to April 18, 2006 for claiming donations on federal income taxes. The Friends of Green Lake tax identification number is 33-1212539.
