Green Lake Pathway of Lights Glowed in the Rain on Sat December 11

The 3.1 miles of the Green Lake path twinkled with over 5,000 candles in luminarias on December 11, 2010 at the 34th Pathway of Lights, as local musicians performed in the rain under tents at sites around the lake: the Green Lake Community Center on the east side, the Green Lake Small Craft Center (the Aqua Theater) on the south side, the Bathhouse Theater (Seattle Public Theater) on the north side and The Arch on the east of side of the community center/pool.

The music at the community center was provided by Green Lake United Methodist Church, as well as members of Sustainable Wallingford, singing “Green Carols.” and The Phinney Neighborhood Chorus singing at the Aqua Theater.

Warm drinks and treats were also provided at those locations, as donation bins for non-perishable food items for Northwest Harvest filled up. It was possibly the last celebration of this beautiful event for some time due to budget constraints.
