Ice and Snow Decorate Beautiful Green Lake While Freezing Residents

Seattle’s unusually frigid weather during the Holiday season caused no end of problems for residents, many of whom were stuck in their homes for at least two weeks including Christmas. The extremely cold weather swooped in dropping a foot of snow and more in many places, with temperatures in the low to mid teens. SPU asked everyone to prepare homes and property, protect family, pets and pipes, and keep drains clear. They also published a map showing snow plow routes used during snow events.[tribulant_slideshow gallery_id=”1″]Photos by Don Allen, Seattle Parks and Recreation Crew Chief
