Green Lake 2020 Stewardship Monitoring Report Available Now

The Green Lake 2020 Lake Stewardship Monitoring Program Report is now available from King County (click here). Nutrient and algae concentrations have significantly increased in Green Lake since monitoring started in 2005 and were particularly high in 2019 and 2020.

Stay alert for toxic algae blooms in Green Lake is provided to increase people’s awareness of toxic algae, and their ability to identify which algae are potentially toxic. Any potentially toxic blooms should be reported to the King County Lake Stewardship Program and sampled for toxin analysis.
